The latest upgrade of the back of the leather case
This year, we optimized the product and added the waist loop function to the leather case. The belt can be passed through the waist loop and worn around the waist, which brings more convenience to outdoor travel.
The way it is worn on a belt
The upgraded leather case can be worn on the belt and is not easy to lose when going out camping. It is also very convenient and quick to take the triangle plate and chain in the box.
- The perforation width of the waist loop is 2.6 inches, and most belts and waistbands can be passed through.
Tripod for camping and picnic that can be supported by branches
When having a picnic outdoors, you can use the existing branches, bamboo, and steel bars around you to quickly support the tripod, which is very convenient and fast, and saves effort.
Insert the iron pin at one end of the iron chain into any one of the iron chain rings, then pass the iron chain through the round hole in the center of the triangle plate, and the iron chain is suspended.
Successfully set up a tripod, you can start your camping picnic, and enjoy a happy camping picnic and barbecue time with family and friends.
I have something like this for home but it's bulky. This can fit in my pocket but I put it in my backpack. I only need 3 narrow short branches and I've got a great method to hang my pots over a fire. And it works perfectly.
Nice product for hanging small pots over campfire. Don't think it's for Dutch oven type heavy stuff.
This is a tripod brace for cooking while camping or backpacking. It consists of a metal disc with holes in it and a long chain with a hook at one end and a pin at the other, all stored in a small leather pouch. The idea is that you find three sticks of about the right length and diameter, put them through the outer holes to form the tripod, and then put the chain through the center hole, using the pin to secure it at the appropriate high for your cooking vessel.
It seemed pretty sturdy, although that will depend on the strength of the sticks you select. It didn’t budge when I tugged on the hook, but I wasn’t able to test it with a cast iron dutch oven, since mine doesn’t have a bale handle. I did test it with a kettle and a small pot; the latter had about a quart of water in it. It held it up without issue for the entire cooking period.
Some notes about use: You want to use this over a small bed of coals, not a big roaring campfire. Ideally, you’d be able to set this so that none of the legs are in your campfire. We did have to add some fuel to the fire while cooking, and while the flames licked up a bit none of the legs caught. Using green wood would help with both strength and fire resistance. Depending on where you are going, it might be trivial or very hard to find three straight sticks of the right diameter; keep that in mind and have a backup plan.
Well, does it work? Very much so. This is a pretty good tripod pot or Dutch oven holder for camping.
I happen to work for a company that deals in metal products like aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel material. I cut some aluminum round bar just smaller then the holes on the tripod plate and about three ft long and it works perfectly. I believe you’ll enjoy this product, it’s made very well and stands up to a good 20 Lbs of weight like heavy cast iron so I don’t think you’ll have to worry too much if your using a large Dutch oven on it, as long as the stands can support the weight, your good to go.
